There is some serious frustration among all the TikTok fans as the app is now deleting the accounts and videos of every user who is still younger than 13. This amendment has been made to protect the children’s privacy law.
After the recent FTC settlement, which has forced TikTok to change their terms in accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, or COPPA, users who fall under the minimum age requirement, will now have to get parental approval for creating an account on TikTok.
Almost all of the social media companies have set the age limit to 13 years in order to avoid the complicated process of parental consent and with that some have also introduced a limited version of their apps for kids as well like Messenger Kids by Facebook.
We're hearing that a few people are having trouble accessing TikTok today. If you typed the wrong birthday, head to the "Report a Problem" section of the app and provide confirmation that you're age 13 or older by submitting a copy of your government ID.
Not here. In the app.

For all the users who got their accounts deleted by mistake (in case of entering a wrong birthday) TikTok has issued a solution for it on its social media channels. Such users will have to click on the ‘Report a Problem’ section and upload a copy of their government ID to prove their age. They can also further describe the issue through ‘Add an Email’ section as well.
We understand that some users may be experiencing app issues. Please go to Profile > Privacy and Settings > "Report a Problem" to tell us what's happening. If you can't access the app, please email email@example.com so our support team can follow up!

Once reported, TikTok will email the users back with a text attachment containing video links. It will further recommend you to copy all the video links to a download software and batch download them.
TikTok will soon introduce another version of its app for users that fall below the age of 13 but it wont have most of the features like uploading any video or commenting on them as compared to the standard one. There will also be a strict filtration of videos to make the content kids friendly.
